Nepal
--- Trekking*Wildlife*Culture --- 22 days
We
thought it would be fun to travel across the entire Himalayan
Mountain range, so last year we gave it a try and now we’re
offering it to you.
The
trip starts north of the Himalaya on the Tibetan Plateau and
we trek, raft and drive our way along the Kali Gandaki River
(through the World's deepest gorge, between the Annapurna and
Dhualagiri ranges) to the flat terai region south of the Himalaya.
We’ve combined the very best of trekking, rafting, and safari
along with stops to some rarely visited quaint hilltowns, for
a truly unique adventure in Nepal.

Nepal
--- Trekking --- 21 days
This is the classic ascent to Annapurna Base Camp, deep
in the heart of the Annapurna Range. We'll begin with a few
days in the Kathmandu Valley, home of the exotic ancient cities
of Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur. Then on to the lush jungles
in the lower reaches of the Annapurna range where we'll slowly
work our way up to the snowy Annapurna Base Camp (14, 200 ft)
with unparalleled views of such favorites as Annapurna I (26,545
ft) and Machhapuchhare (22,942 ft.).

This trip is a once in a lifetime chance. We'll venture
into the once forbidden Kingdom of Mustang (the home of the
Lo people) on what is sure to be a magical mix of undisturbed
Tibetan buddhist culture, modern scientific understanding, and
the austere beauty in this land lost in time. This is a special
trip to the incredible Tiji Festival in the walled city of Lo
Manthang.

Nepal
--- Trekking --- 22 days
The Langtang region was Nepal's first Himalayan national
park, and for good reason! Nowhere else is so much high mountain
landscape accessible with such ease and with so few tourists.
This is an extended trek which takes us through numerous Tamang
villages (Tibetan related peoples), to multiple glaciers, and
along beautiful alpine lakes.

Nepal
--- Trekking*Wildlife*Culture -- 15 days
The traditional and still most common way to get from one
place to another in Nepal is to walk. It is an integral facet
of Nepalese culture. This is the trip for those who want to
experience Nepali life, but don't think they'll make it trekking
in the high mountains. On this trip, we'll trek in the
relative lowlands around Kathmandu Valley, exploring the world-renowned
temples of the Valley, then on to Chitwan for a spectacular
wilderness adventure looking for wild rhinos, elephants, and
tigers.

Mera
Peak
Trekking
--- 23 days
Mera Peak is the highest trekking peak in Nepal and offers
fine views, pristine forests, alpine lakes, and of course a
classic style Himalayan climb to a staggering 6476 meters. We've
planned this trip with plenty of extra time for acclimatization,
mountaineering skills workshops, and a chance to take in this
awesome trek/climb.

Nepal
--- Trekking --- 22 days
This is the classic route to Everest Base Camp from the
Nepal side. We'll stop just short of base camp and climb Kala
Patar (18,190 ft). This is truly one of the finest scenes in
the Himalayas, with dizzying views of Cho Oya (26,906 ft.),
Nuptse (25,849 ft), and Everest (28,028 ft). We'll also have
time to take in the legendary hospitality of the Sherpa people
who inhabit this region.

Mt. Kailas is a sacred pilgrimage mountain in southern Tibet.
This trek starts in remote far western Nepal. We'll wind our way

the buddhists pilgrims from all over southern Asia and Tibet.

Cultural
Tours
|
|
All
of our tours are designed to interact with local peoples and
their cultures. In the following tours, however, we have specifically
included cultural activities. Keep in mind, all of our tours
offer a few days to roam the streets of Kathmandu and the surrounding
valley. If you're worried about not being exposed to the local
Himalayan culture, don't be. You'll be interacting daily with
the wonderfully hospitable peoples along our routes as well
as with our native staff who accompany us on our journeys. But
if you want to experience Himalayan cultures a little more deeply,
these tours are for you!
