1 Arrival
at Paro. You will be met upon arrival and transferred to your
hotel. Welcome drinks and orientation talk. Overnight at hotel
in Paro.
Day
2 Guided
tour of Drukgal Dzong, the National Museum, and the local
market of Paro. Overnight at hotel in Paro.
Day
3 Drive
to Taktsang Monastery, one of the holiest of shrines which
clings to a sheer rock cliff plunging 3000 ft. Drive to Thimpu.
Overnight at hotel in Thimpu.
Day
4 Guide
tour of Thimpu Valley. Visit the memorial Chorten. Handicrafts
Emporium, and Tashi Chho Dzong. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.
Day
5 Drive
to Punakha across Dochula Pass. Visit Punakha Dzong and Wangdiphodrang.
Overnight in Mendegang Lodge.
Day
6 Drive
to Thimphu. Visit National Painting School and the rest of
the day is yours to roam. Overnight at hotel in Thimphu.
Day
7 Drive
to Paro. En route visit Simthoka Dzong. Guided tour of Paro.
Later visit a farmhouse for traditional tea or local wine.
Overnight at hotel in Paro.
Day
8 Transfer
to airport in the morning. Fly from Paro to onward destination.
